Kids 16 & younger - 4 mile run or 2 mile run or walk
Registration Fees: Adult fee $20 by 7/11/09 and $25 after
Kids 10 years to 16 years $10 by 7/11/09 and $15 after
Kids under 10 years run for free (t-shirt extra $5) mail in only.
We are bringing the 80's back to Columbia! The 80's was a time of self expression, celebration and fun. Show that 80's style on the streets of downtown Columbia
in 5k fashion. Proper 80's attire is required! Expect 80's music, fashion, props, giveaways and so much more!
This event is is late evening run with a righteous dance party following! How 'bout some free icecream at the finish? Cheeuh!
So don't be a couch potato airhead and get down to this new wave party. I kid you not, this run is totally dope.

Can we bring an anthology of 80's music to the entire 2 mile course (2 loops for 4 milers) for runners and participants to enjoy? "Get real man!" Is probably what you are thinking about now. I kid you not we can like totally pull this off! Totally doable! Here is my fricking sweet idea! Volunteers, participants, families and random righteous dudes can make this happen. By strategically parking cars and putting boomboxes on certain sections of the course the music can be nonstop. Everyone will be given a mix CD (I have heard that these will replace cassettes someday. Whatever.) to start playing at the very start of the race. Songs from 1980 to 1989 will be sampled for the entire event. This is a sick plan. It's success is the hands of you... the public. If everyone is a airhead, then the music stops. If everyone is dynamite, then we will rock this party!
The course is set for a revolutionary run like nothing ever before! A totally 80's run? How awesome is this?! What is this all about?!!!

Of course the the event will be soundtracked by your favorite 80's tunes! Be part of The 80's Run Sound Experiment!
80's Fashions
Proper 80's attire is required! Do not risk a DNF by wearing your typical boring running clothes!
80's Prizes
The fastest runners in the race won't be winning any Sportin' prizes. Off Track Events is supporting creativity and not speed! You know it! Righteous hand made trophies will be given to the best dressed. It's anyone's game now!
